wonder busy stressful day

Today Katie had her practice for her dance. They did so good even though they were running about an hour behind. They girls were a beautiful mess on stage! can't wait to see them tomorrow

Jaxon also had his first TKD competition today, he got a 3rd place medal for his escape skills. I am so proud and sad I had to miss it. Thank goodness for my wonderful parents!

Scared but lesson learned

Last night was the first time in a really long time I was truely scared but not enough to call anyone but still my heart was racing. I was woken up around midnight because the garage door was opening then a few minutes later I heard it again. My alarm was set so I knee nobody could come in with out tripping that. I looked out th windows and saw nothing but my neighbors garage was open with the lights on so I figured they were still up. After about 2 1/2 hours I fell back a sleep. So this morning I learned how to lock the garage doors but a switch on top of the buttons in the garage!! Yeah because that always had worried me. After texting a few people I found out that my door was open when the neighbors came home so they tried to close it. The sensor hit something and went back up so they had to try again. If I would have text Eric last night I would have known this but because I am so worried about bugging someone I did not. I know crazy!
So what happen was Jaxon told me he closed the garage door which I heard him do but we did not hear it go back up. So I did not check, I set the alarm and went to bed.
Lessons learned:
Double check garage door
Lock garage doors now that I kwow how (I plan on keeping it locked and. Unlock it only when we open the doors).

oh and if you are walking on the treadmill while texting about this to 3 people it makes the time go really really fast! 40 min up hill with a 5 min each cool down and warm up for total 50 minutes = yeah me!

Ask questions before I drive myself crazy there usually is a good sane answer!!

Wow what a week!

It has been a week since Bonnie died and there are some big differences around our house - it is Quiet, Bonnie was loud barking and breathing! There are more crumbs on the floor, maybe Montana did not learn to clean the floor because Bonnie was always there but there is a lot more food on the ground! Montana only needs to be fed once a day, he leaves food in his bowl. We are sad to have only one dog!

It has only been 3 days since Erik left for Qatar and it feels so much longer, 45 days is going to go by so slow!!

Mother's day was fun, we went to a friends house for crawfish and swimming! It was strange not seeing my mom on Mother's day but I know they are having fun on their retirement trip!
Today I did go to the gym, I was only planning on walking for 20 minutes then I went to 30 and finally got off around 47 minutes. Amazing how good music can help!
This week is our last week of school for Jaxon, he is so excited and ready to start the summer! Katie has 2 days next week so that will not too bad and Tuesday is Louisiana day so it is just a festival and class picnic. It will be bitter sweet with her leaving BPECC, we have been there for 5 years but I am done with the drive!
Speaking of the drive it is almost time to go get her!
