pay check

I got my first pay check today in almost 4 years - Ok so it was only for one day. It was a whopping $33.
Erik laughed at me.
But I have 2 more days lined both in Katie's class so that should be intresting. Tomorrow I am not going in till 12:00 so she will be asleep but on Monday I will be there the whole day as the Asst.
I also just added a day for Katie - her teacher let me know that Wednesday was open now and not to wait till January because people were asking for that day so we went ahead and added so now she will learn to skate - I can't wait to see that!

Halloween weekend

I forgot to tell ya'll I finally worked at the kids school as a sub. It was fun - a little over whelming at first - 12- 2 year olds that don't know you and the main teacher was who I was there for. We had some moments like when we did not know if we could give a child something because of his allergies and was crying because he wanted what everyone else had. Anyway it all worked out in the end. the kids liked me so that was good.

busy weekend

Here are a few pictures from this weekend. I tried to upload more but there was an error so I gave up.

The first one is from the maze in Port Allen and the second one is from Boo at the Zoo - which I so did not know was going on. But we had a great time anyway.

fun at home

So I got my Mom to play the Wii - I think she had a really great! She may have stayed all night if she didn't have to get Claire & Emma before 5. The Wii will eat your time if you let it!

Jaxon and MaMere played a few of the games she did the best at bowling and the shooting ones.

Ok so both Hallie and Hillary's blogs made me cry! You both ROCK 3-days 60 miles and over $6200 between the 2 of you all for Breast Cancer!!

after the kids go to sleep

OK so I went a little crazy last night with the Halloween ribbon! I was playing with different was to make the ribbons - I even made a Halloween ladybug (is that possible?)

I have to let everyone know how proud I am of Hallie - she is doing the 3-day walk for breast cancer tomorrow. 60 miles in 3 days - why to go Hallie you inspire me! Full time mom and full time worker and yet you found the time to raise or $3200 for breast cancer! WAY TO GO HALLIE I am so proud of you!!

Since Hallie has successfully met her goals she inspired me to set some. I have my sight focused on doing the walk with her in 2 years. I have talked to my PT about getting my back ready for this. We have started to build our team - everyone is welcome so if you want to walk let us know.

I have started doing WW again . I believe the more people I tell the more motivated I will be. Then it because something I have to stick with and be accountable for.

so once again I am so proud of Hallie and send her lots of best wishes and prayers!! GO Hallie and Hillary - you make of proud!

Magnolia Mound Plantation

We went to Magnolia Mound Plantation today to take some pictures for Katie - Thanks Vonnie for the gift cert for the pictures - once they are online i will put a link so you can see them. These are a few I took after the session was over.

It was a really pretty place so I would love to go back and take more pictures.

It was hot! Jaxon found a frog so Anna-Karin got a lot of pictures with him playing with the frog - should be super cute.

I also went to the open house for St. Theresa's Pre-K . It is werid I almost feel like I am cheating on Jaxon's school that he is in now since I am looking into another school. He can go there next year but I really want to get him in for K so I need to start now. enough babble for now

slow people

today I was checked out by the slowest woman in the world at Target. I was so upset with her. She was sooo slow - I had 20 minutes till I had to pick up Jaxon and it takes 15 minutes to get there, yes I was cutting it close but I did not get to my car till 3 mintues till - yes it took that woman over 15 to scan all my items. Crazy. Thank God Jaxon's school knows me and and we have a good realtionship so being late was not that bad. But come on that is too long to scan all the products.
Then I hit every red light on the way there. oh well lesson learned!
He was already in the gym playing when I got there and he did not want to leave. And I was afriad he was going to be upset I was late - silly me

Today I decided to take some pictures while we celebrated my Dad's 60th birthday and watch LSU beat Tulane (although it was painful to watch at some points)

Trying to get 6 kids to look is hard but I did get one that turned out ok

This is more what it felt like trying to take the pictures.

My back is doing better - or maybe it is the meds talking... we will see I start my 8th round of PT next week - I think I will be in and out of PT for the rest of my life AHHHHHHHHH. Unless I can figure out a way to get a whole new back but since that is not going to happen I will just help keep PT's in business.

learning

Well I have decided to learn to make dresses for Katie. The LSU one was my first and I don't like the dress that much - it flares to much and so it looks too big (they are both a size 1)

The other one is a better dress style but after seeing it in the pictures I need to move the buttons up some. But I am learning! I actually only did the sewing that did not show - I had Mom come behind me and do all the sewing that shows - the hem and the sewing around the neck. Maybe I will try the hem next dress???

Beside my back hurting like hell everything is going great. I have not hurt like this is a very long time! Good thing I was already going to the Dr in the morning.
Jaxon is loving his class in preschool. If I ask him what they did he tells me a little but then as the day goes on he fills me in little by little.
Katie actually wined a little this morning because she did not get to get out at their school. It was kinda funny - at least I know she likes it!!

Fun at the Mall

Today Maddie and Tommy came to play with Katie at her playgroup at the mall. The kids had fun.

The play ground has a Jazz theme. Very cute.

Wii weekend

We had a very busy and great weekend! We had the Labauve's come in from Texas and we had Gary come in from Cali (we had not seen him since 2000). IT was great seeing Gary again. He was always so much fun.

Saturday we decided to get a Wii - we had been talking about it for a few months so we just went ahead and got it - fun fun fun.

Jaxon can beat everyone in boxing ok so not the best game for a 3 year old but it is funny to see him beating a 30 year old man!!!

But watching Izaac and Jaxon play was funny and painful!!

They were really good at baseball and bowling

and the one were they had to ride a cow.

So now we know what to Jaxon for his birthday.

And Erik for his birthday!!

now everyone is gone and the kids are in bed so I get a little bit of quite before the day starts all over again in the morning.

I learned how to make bows this weekend - so easy and fun and Katie doesn't even keep them in her hair.

busy days

You would think that now that the kids are in school I would be able to get some stuff done around the house. But that is not the case I am busier then ever! I don't mind the drive to bringing the kids to the MDO it is actually nice to have the car by myself .
I had a bunch of stuff to write but now that I actually have a minute to write I can't think of anything!! Crazy

Sunday

Today was a good day I spend time at a baby shower and saw a bunch of my family that I don;t get to see too much - Hallie included in that. But then I came home to a very cranky 3 year old that is not banished to his room for throwing too many fits for not getting his way and not listening! boy of boy who ever said 2 was hard did not run into my 3 year old!!

tomorrow is a new day!

unhelped day

My first unhelped day was a good. Katie made it through her first day at school with no problems or tears! Jaxon loves his new class and teacher. It is always great when the teacher is good. Mrs. Tate loves kids and it really shows!
now I have a hundred things to do so I'll update more later....

New Day

OK so it is a new month - with a lot of new things going on so I decided to go back to this blog since everyone seems to use this one more then myspace.
SO what is going on:
Jaxon and Katie start MDO and preschool tomorrow! I am so excited. Jaxon really needed to be back in school he gets bored and his new teacher seems great.
Katie will have the same teacher Jaxon had at his age so I am really happy with that since she already knows the family and is use to Erik!
We are still unpacking! I know it has been 2 months but it is really hard with the kids trying to help. so tomorrow I should be able to build some storage and get a little organized.
I hate that some places do not have homes yet.
OK that is all for now. I plan to be better at keeping this updated. we will see!
