Happy New Years Eve

Well the year is almost over and what a year it has been - started off really sad saying good-bye to some life long friends but the year ended much better then it started. As I get ready for the new year I thrown around some resolutions and finally decided on one - to get healthy. Not just weight but with everything in life - so I will let you know how that goes.
I did find a cool website that I wanted to share - it is called
photojojo.com it has all sorts of projects you can do with your photos I am very excited to try some of them like the photo journal of you new years resolution and the 365 photo year - where they want you to take a photo everyday so you can get better at taken pictures! That may be a hard one but still very cool idea.
I hope everyone is having a fun and safe New Years Eve - Everyone is sleeping in my house but me and the dogs that are scared to death of all the fireworks!
I don't think I told most of you but we ended up getting rid of Nurple our black and white cat - my Aunt Beth took him to become an outside cat. He would not adjust to our new house and would pee everywhere! It has been 6 months and he just would not stop, even the vet said it was probably behavioral so now he is living in the country!
Ok I am just going on and on about things that pop in my head so I am going to go - Happy New Year! I am looking forward to 2008!

Christmas Day

What a great day!!
Erik and I gave the kids their new rockers which they loved!!

Then they opened the gifts from Santa - Jaxon was so excited with each of his gifts!

KK just loved her Snap n style dolls and My little pony

they both loved their Bilibo things!

So we had a really good Christmas morning then we got dressed and headed to Lafayette to spend the rest of the day with the Hallie and his family!

Christmas update

We had a great Christmas! What else could you ask for but spending time with a wonderful family!
Christmas Eve we had dinner at Mom and Dad's house - yummy! As always too much to eat but it was so good. We sang Happy Birthday to Jesus.

Then we tried to get pictures of the kids and each family will that did not go over too good with the kids. It was actually pretty funny. We tried to get them to sit still:

Then Bobby got them to sit still with good old M&Ms!!

Then the madness of opening the gifts which was a lot of fun - KK actually got upset because she did not get a Barbie doll like all the other girls!

Last but not least we headed to the leeve to see the bon fires. We followed the GPS to Erik's firend's house - which was completely wrong and we ended up getting trapped in traffic on the river road. But the kids were able to get out and run along the leeve while the three drivers went really really slow down the road. But we still had a great time. I got to chit chat with Hallie and her sisters. Jaxon and KK got to play and see the Bon Fires so that was really great.

Once we got home I was able to get the kids to bed and put out all the Christmas presents from Santa.

Last minute

I hate to say it but I am going to be a last minute shopper! I was wrapping everything tonight and found out Jaxon does not have enough for Christmas. I think when I was shopping I stopped buying him stuff because He had so much stuff at home - well most of that was for his birthday so now I have to go out and get him something else - which is no big deal he has been asking for 2 things so I will just go get them. I had to put away 3 things of KK's - good thing her birthday is coming up in April. Just trying to be fair and keep the $$ amount about the same. Plus Jaxon is at that age where he would notice if he got 3 things and Katie got 7.
KK opened one of Jaxon's gifts tonight when I was ran downstairs for a minute ( the gifts and tree are upstairs so she would not mess them, they are only upstairs when we are- most of the time). Jaxon was so excited to see the trucks until I told them that was his present from KK and he had to wait till Christmas to open it.
OH well I guess that is all for now!

Gingerbread houses

Saturday we went to Ethan and Monica's to make Gingerbread house. We had fun - the kids like adding all the decorations to house -while all the Moms and Dads had the fun with building the houses. Next year maybe they will be able to do some of the building.

This one the one Katie worked on as you can tell I did most of the work.

This was Jaxon and Erik's they had a lot of fun building theirs with all the car out side.

Some places have snow angels - we made leaf angels! Love the 80 degree weather in mid december! Although today it is in the 40s - the temp changes so fast!

A Comeaux Christmas

This time of year I really do love being a large close extended family! We had a great time at the family party and I actually got 2 presents that I will use - OK Erik got one that we can use for the cats to drink out and I got the 2008 cooking light cookbook!!
Amy(Katie's Godmother and my Goddaughter) got Katie a super cute dress and an art kit that she is going to love. Santa gave Jaxon a set of pirate figurines and Katie got some dress up shoes which she had to put on right then. She actually took off her shoes to try on her new ones! But she would not go to Santa - cried and held on really tight! Maybe next year. Jaxon had a blast playing with all his cousins and extended cousins.
Amanda's Mom bought all the girls the pillowcase dresses. Thanks Margo!

Thursday

Sorry I have not been able to update in a while. I have been crazy busy. I turned in the 10 page application for Jaxon's school - yes Pre-K! Then helping out in the crazy class has gotten a little better but there is still a few that I have trouble with. But only 2 more weeks.
Oh and best of all I have a 4 year old! Jaxon's birthday was good. We had fun! He loves his scooter and the air hog he bought with his birthday money.
