Happy New Years Eve

Well the year is almost over and what a year it has been - started off really sad saying good-bye to some life long friends but the year ended much better then it started. As I get ready for the new year I thrown around some resolutions and finally decided on one - to get healthy. Not just weight but with everything in life - so I will let you know how that goes.
I did find a cool website that I wanted to share - it is called
photojojo.com it has all sorts of projects you can do with your photos I am very excited to try some of them like the photo journal of you new years resolution and the 365 photo year - where they want you to take a photo everyday so you can get better at taken pictures! That may be a hard one but still very cool idea.
I hope everyone is having a fun and safe New Years Eve - Everyone is sleeping in my house but me and the dogs that are scared to death of all the fireworks!
I don't think I told most of you but we ended up getting rid of Nurple our black and white cat - my Aunt Beth took him to become an outside cat. He would not adjust to our new house and would pee everywhere! It has been 6 months and he just would not stop, even the vet said it was probably behavioral so now he is living in the country!
Ok I am just going on and on about things that pop in my head so I am going to go - Happy New Year! I am looking forward to 2008!

Christmas Day

What a great day!!
Erik and I gave the kids their new rockers which they loved!!

Then they opened the gifts from Santa - Jaxon was so excited with each of his gifts!

KK just loved her Snap n style dolls and My little pony

they both loved their Bilibo things!

So we had a really good Christmas morning then we got dressed and headed to Lafayette to spend the rest of the day with the Hallie and his family!

Christmas update

We had a great Christmas! What else could you ask for but spending time with a wonderful family!
Christmas Eve we had dinner at Mom and Dad's house - yummy! As always too much to eat but it was so good. We sang Happy Birthday to Jesus.

Then we tried to get pictures of the kids and each family will that did not go over too good with the kids. It was actually pretty funny. We tried to get them to sit still:

Then Bobby got them to sit still with good old M&Ms!!

Then the madness of opening the gifts which was a lot of fun - KK actually got upset because she did not get a Barbie doll like all the other girls!

Last but not least we headed to the leeve to see the bon fires. We followed the GPS to Erik's firend's house - which was completely wrong and we ended up getting trapped in traffic on the river road. But the kids were able to get out and run along the leeve while the three drivers went really really slow down the road. But we still had a great time. I got to chit chat with Hallie and her sisters. Jaxon and KK got to play and see the Bon Fires so that was really great.

Once we got home I was able to get the kids to bed and put out all the Christmas presents from Santa.

Last minute

I hate to say it but I am going to be a last minute shopper! I was wrapping everything tonight and found out Jaxon does not have enough for Christmas. I think when I was shopping I stopped buying him stuff because He had so much stuff at home - well most of that was for his birthday so now I have to go out and get him something else - which is no big deal he has been asking for 2 things so I will just go get them. I had to put away 3 things of KK's - good thing her birthday is coming up in April. Just trying to be fair and keep the $$ amount about the same. Plus Jaxon is at that age where he would notice if he got 3 things and Katie got 7.
KK opened one of Jaxon's gifts tonight when I was ran downstairs for a minute ( the gifts and tree are upstairs so she would not mess them, they are only upstairs when we are- most of the time). Jaxon was so excited to see the trucks until I told them that was his present from KK and he had to wait till Christmas to open it.
OH well I guess that is all for now!

Gingerbread houses

Saturday we went to Ethan and Monica's to make Gingerbread house. We had fun - the kids like adding all the decorations to house -while all the Moms and Dads had the fun with building the houses. Next year maybe they will be able to do some of the building.

This one the one Katie worked on as you can tell I did most of the work.

This was Jaxon and Erik's they had a lot of fun building theirs with all the car out side.

Some places have snow angels - we made leaf angels! Love the 80 degree weather in mid december! Although today it is in the 40s - the temp changes so fast!

A Comeaux Christmas

This time of year I really do love being a large close extended family! We had a great time at the family party and I actually got 2 presents that I will use - OK Erik got one that we can use for the cats to drink out and I got the 2008 cooking light cookbook!!
Amy(Katie's Godmother and my Goddaughter) got Katie a super cute dress and an art kit that she is going to love. Santa gave Jaxon a set of pirate figurines and Katie got some dress up shoes which she had to put on right then. She actually took off her shoes to try on her new ones! But she would not go to Santa - cried and held on really tight! Maybe next year. Jaxon had a blast playing with all his cousins and extended cousins.
Amanda's Mom bought all the girls the pillowcase dresses. Thanks Margo!

Thursday

Sorry I have not been able to update in a while. I have been crazy busy. I turned in the 10 page application for Jaxon's school - yes Pre-K! Then helping out in the crazy class has gotten a little better but there is still a few that I have trouble with. But only 2 more weeks.
Oh and best of all I have a 4 year old! Jaxon's birthday was good. We had fun! He loves his scooter and the air hog he bought with his birthday money.

Bilibo

This is what I toy I was telling Megan and Hallie about. I ordered one for Jaxon and Katie. I think they will have fun playing with them. Jaxon saw the video and was really excited about all the things he could do with it!

We are Thankful

We have had a great Thanksgiving holiday! We had all the family together for a great meal at Jerry and Amanda's house. The kids had a great time playing together. We are so lucky to all live so close to each other! We are thankful that Bobby and Hallie do not mind driving the distance - even when the bridge is closed!
We are Thankful for having family over during the sad sad LSU game yesterday. We were thankful we were not at the game!

Things kids know

Yesterday while we were at the Dr for Katie- Jaxon said Mommy I know how to spell Wyatt (who is a friend from school) Now I knew could recognize his name but I did not know he could spell it - and he did correctly with out asking what comes next!!
now his spelling voicab is up to 5 words that I know of - I don't know if that is good but I am pretty excited about that!
Katie's check up went fine - she is 23 lbs 9 oz (between 25 & 50%) and she is 32 inches (a little under 50%). We go back in 3 weeks for Jaxon's

End of a weekend

This weekend is over and it was a good family one. Saturday we cleaned out of garage and got rid of all our garage sale stuff that we never got around to having. It is a shame how much stuff we donated. We watched LSU win - at least this time is was not a heart attach waiting to happen game! Katie was so cute yelling "GO GO GO" with me. She would come running yelling it.
Then today we did some shopping - I am done with Jaxon's b-day now we can focus on Christmas shopping. We started to get our stuff from Jerry's house. Yes that is right we still have stuff at Jerry's and my Mom's really sad to admit that since we have been here since July but is it true. We plan on getting more of it on Thanksgiving Day since we will be over there and Erik is not working (days at least)
That is about it. not too fun but very productive weekend.

wednesday

OK let see how did today go - it sucked. OK it is better now that I am with my own kids. Really makes me happy to have my children.
The morning started with a 50 min drive - yes that is right is normal takes me 20 but because of the time of day it was 50!!
The one"friend" pinched another "friend so hard he broke the skin on her arm.
snack went Well. Even KK is getting use to seeing me so she was not upset when we were in the snack room at the same time.
Now we are in the class room. we had some fighting but it was alright we had to take turns with the play pizza and the bost but besides that we did alright.
circle time was alright besides the friends did not listen and were rolling around while the teacher was trying to do her morning lesson.
The to the gym to practice for the Thanksgiving feast on Friday. their intrest was lost and we stoped practicing and ran after some balls - the teacher in charge actually had another class leave and skip their practice so we could get some of the entergy out! Then we had a baby fight. yeah that was fun!
I had to remove one friend from the group no less then 5 times today for hitting, pushing and kicking.
The funniest part of the day was when the lead teacher said as I was walking out the door - I think today went well! They had a good day!!!!

IN WHAT WORLD IS THAT A GOOD DAY?

any way I think I am the laugh of the other teachers - I am asked all day how am I doing and to hang in there. One actaully asked me if I needed the money that bad or did I not know what I was getting into! I just smiled and said I really don't need money that bad!

So we will see how tomorrow goes. I am here to help till the Assistant can come back or I start drinking when I get home - today I actually smiled when I realized I had some to mix my drink in!! anyway I am done bitching.
I am not unhappy with job just the kids! but that is alright it is not forever. I know I should not bitch because I did do this to myself!

1st day as temp

Today was my first day as a temp for an assistant at the preschool. For it only being 4 hours it is a really long day! The class is between 11 and 16 "friends"
They are a very spirited group. OK really only 4 take up most of your time reminding them what is expected. No hitting, pinching, kicking - you know the little things. I don't know how long I will be doing this. The Assistant is helping her mother while she is ending her battle with cancer. so for her sake only I hope I have this for a while.
Last week I was so busy with taken pictures of Erik's rescue team compete against 4 other Shell teams. It was really fun. Erik was the tied up and droped 4 floors in a basket. That was a little weird to see because you really have to trust the team! We had fun but is was really long 13 hour days.

off to bed yes that is right 9:15 and I am going to bed!

Claire's b-day cake

This was a fun cake to make once I figured out what size to make the cake so the pieces would fit. So when I make it again it will not take as long!
Happy Birthday C and M - very busy birthday weekend!

Oh and how about those Tigers - you can not say that the games are boring!

pay check

I got my first pay check today in almost 4 years - Ok so it was only for one day. It was a whopping $33.
Erik laughed at me.
But I have 2 more days lined both in Katie's class so that should be intresting. Tomorrow I am not going in till 12:00 so she will be asleep but on Monday I will be there the whole day as the Asst.
I also just added a day for Katie - her teacher let me know that Wednesday was open now and not to wait till January because people were asking for that day so we went ahead and added so now she will learn to skate - I can't wait to see that!

more pictures

I love photobucket! So easy to use ya'll are going to get sick of seeing pictures of the Kids!

The ones of Jaxon and Katie are really to show Mara how cute Mya's clothes look on Katie - Thanks Mara!!

Then Katie's halloween dress. I just love that dress style.
and then the kids trick or treat bags. I had fun making those.

I forgot to tell ya'll I finally worked at the kids school as a sub. It was fun - a little over whelming at first - 12- 2 year olds that don't know you and the main teacher was who I was there for. We had some moments like when we did not know if we could give a child something because of his allergies and was crying because he wanted what everyone else had. Anyway it all worked out in the end. the kids liked me so that was good.

fun at home

So I got my Mom to play the Wii - I think she had a really great! She may have stayed all night if she didn't have to get Claire & Emma before 5. The Wii will eat your time if you let it!

She was playing bowling here.

She was really good at that one!

Jaxon and MaMere played a few of the games she did the best at bowling and the shooting ones.

Ok so both Hallie and Hillary's blogs made me cry! You both ROCK 3-days 60 miles and over $6200 between the 2 of you all for Breast Cancer!!
Here is a sneak peek of Jaxon's Halloween look! He looks so cute! I tried to uplaod another picture but I gave up since I got errors twice.

after the kids go to sleep

OK so I went a little crazy last night with the Halloween ribbon! I was playing with different was to make the ribbons - I even made a Halloween ladybug (is that possible?)

I have to let everyone know how proud I am of Hallie - she is doing the 3-day walk for breast cancer tomorrow. 60 miles in 3 days - why to go Hallie you inspire me! Full time mom and full time worker and yet you found the time to raise or $3200 for breast cancer! WAY TO GO HALLIE I am so proud of you!!

Since Hallie has successfully met her goals she inspired me to set some. I have my sight focused on doing the walk with her in 2 years. I have talked to my PT about getting my back ready for this. We have started to build our team - everyone is welcome so if you want to walk let us know.

I have started doing WW again . I believe the more people I tell the more motivated I will be. Then it because something I have to stick with and be accountable for.

so once again I am so proud of Hallie and send her lots of best wishes and prayers!! GO Hallie and Hillary - you make of proud!

Magnolia Mound Plantation

We went to Magnolia Mound Plantation today to take some pictures for Katie - Thanks Vonnie for the gift cert for the pictures - once they are online i will put a link so you can see them. These are a few I took after the session was over.

It was a really pretty place so I would love to go back and take more pictures.
It was hot! Jaxon found a frog so Anna-Karin got a lot of pictures with him playing with the frog - should be super cute.
I also went to the open house for St. Theresa's Pre-K . It is werid I almost feel like I am cheating on Jaxon's school that he is in now since I am looking into another school. He can go there next year but I really want to get him in for K so I need to start now. enough babble for now

slow people

today I was checked out by the slowest woman in the world at Target. I was so upset with her. She was sooo slow - I had 20 minutes till I had to pick up Jaxon and it takes 15 minutes to get there, yes I was cutting it close but I did not get to my car till 3 mintues till - yes it took that woman over 15 to scan all my items. Crazy. Thank God Jaxon's school knows me and and we have a good realtionship so being late was not that bad. But come on that is too long to scan all the products.
Then I hit every red light on the way there. oh well lesson learned!
He was already in the gym playing when I got there and he did not want to leave. And I was afriad he was going to be upset I was late - silly me

picture perfect

Today I decided to take some pictures while we celebrated my Dad's 60th birthday and watch LSU beat Tulane (although it was painful to watch at some points)

Trying to get 6 kids to look is hard but I did get one that turned out ok
This is more what it felt like trying to take the pictures.

My back is doing better - or maybe it is the meds talking... we will see I start my 8th round of PT next week - I think I will be in and out of PT for the rest of my life AHHHHHHHHH. Unless I can figure out a way to get a whole new back but since that is not going to happen I will just help keep PT's in business.
