LOOKS GOOD!

I went to the Dr today, he said my toe looks really good so I was released from the boot - sorta, I am either suppose to have my boot on or a tennis shoe. I have noticed that my toe hurts from not wearing the boot because of the pressure but he said it would get get better. I still have to take it easy for the next month. No bare feet just in case I stub my toe - he said I would shatter it again. SO I am happy!
We also went to see Jene today. Jaxon did really good at the dentist he let her look and use the pointy tool that checks for cavities (he had none) even KK let her count her teeth after seeing how Jaxon did it. Jene even painted his teeth with fluoride (no more trays you keep on and no more waiting an hour to drink something!) Yes she used a paint brush to brush it on - he did not like the taste but that was alright.
Here is a picture Erik took of KK - I thought it turned out super cute!

just another day

Not to much to update. We had a great weekend. The Labauves came in for a visit. Saturday we also had some Friends we knew from Va. come over, so we had a fun busy weekend with everyone. Sunday was spent cleaning up. We realized the kids have way to much stuff so we went through and got rid of a lot of things. Erik even steam cleaned the whole house!
We have been playing outside with this great weather! Today The kids and I hung out with the neighbors for a few hours - this is what I wanted in a neighborhood. I love it, we have great neighbors.
Now that things are slowing down a bit I am starting to think of KK's birthday and trying to figure out what I am going to do. I am thinking a BBQ but I am a little worried about the rain. So we will just have to see.
Like a said just another day nothing much just enjoying life!

He is in!

Jaxon recieved his letter today admitting him to St. Thesera's for Pre-K next year! One less thing to worry about now. I have to have the packet in next friday, because 17 page application was not enough information there is also a regisition packet to fill out.

I have 3 assignments for the freelance photography job I took with the newsletter from Erik's work. I am really excited because I will get paid by the hour for events I would be at anyway- Like the Easter Egg Hunt!! The editor made it sound like I will be getting a bunch of assignments. The editor lives in Metairie, so by hiring me she avoids the drive.

KK is doing great. She is still very busy loves her books, babies, and puzzles!

I also started working out my arms since I can not do anything on my foot. So we will see how long I can keep this up!

Did you see this one??

I found this on FoxNews

A photograph in a Times-Picayune report Wednesday on the New Orleans Police Department's new crime-fighting equipment has set off a wave of controversy.

In the photo, Mayor Ray Nagin is smiling and seems to be aiming an assault rifle at Police Superintendent Warren Riley.

A review of a video taken at the event shows that the camera captured a split second as the gun was being lowered that made it appear to be deliberately pointed at the chief," the paper wrote. "However, the mayor clearly did not deliberately point the gun at Riley."

More about the Toe

I'm sure you are getting sick of reading about my toe but here is the lastest update. The bone I thought was just fractured was actually shattered like I was told the first time, but the bones did not move so it is healing well. The dislocation is setting good so I was able to keep the splint off or may be the splint was left off because it cut 2 groves into the top of my toe! It looked GROSS today when they took the splint off. I took a picture but it is too gross to show. SO I am still in the walking boot, I go back in 2 weeks to take more x-rays. The Dr still wants me to sleep in the boot which I never did but now that the splint is off I have no way to protect it so I got a sleeping boot for some other foot problem to see if it protects it enough. He said all it will take is one wrong hit on my toe and everything we did would be undone - that was enough to scare me!

I made carrot cake cakeballs for for V-day he and the kids said they were really good. I used the candy melt instead of the almond bark.

early wishes

a little update

We have been very busy with everything going on. Life sucks with a broken toe. The walking cast sucks and really makes life a little hard. But over all we are doing really great.
KK is growing up da fast. Last night wanted to Potty on the potty so she got out of the tub and she actually went! Yeah - I just thought it was a fluke but then today she told Erik she want to sit on the potty and went again. So I am going to get a potty seat for down stairs - if she want to use it it will be there but I am not going to push it at all.
Jaxon got his 4 years shots and we have a red spot where they did the Dtap we have 2 more days before the nurse told us to bring him back in if it is still there - the web said the Dtap can cause red spots for 1 to 7 days. Still I don't like it. Besides that he is doing great.

Happy Mardi Gras

We had a great time over the Mardi Gras weekend. I was able to make it to 2 days. Sunday and Tuesday. It would have been better with out a broken foot but the kids had fun so that made it worth it!
